Every week, we get you the most shared posts on social media. While some are announcements for the upcoming releases or songs, some are just candid pictures and videos with even more candid captions given to them. This week too was an entertaining one with Karan Johar posting a video of Shashank Khaitan’s birthday celebrations featuring Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Aparshakti Khurana and others and the announcement of Sooryavanshi’s release date being the highlights. The Sooryavanshi post was shared by Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif on their Instagram handles and went viral on the internet just like Karan Johar’s post along with a few others. So, let’s have a look at all the posts that did the rounds on the internet this week.

Friday morning saw Karan Johar posting a video from a seeming house party where the group of people were celebrating filmmaker Shashank Khaitan’s birthday. While the caption was a simple ‘Happy Birthday Shashank Khaitan,’ the contents of the video were truly entertaining, making us realize that it was after all a Bollywood filmmaker’s birthday party and had to have some drama in it. In the clip, Shashank was seen cutting the birthday cake as all the others sang ‘Happy Birthday’ and then the camera panned to everyone who was cheering for the filmmaker. From Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor to Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurana, many stars were seen. What made it the most entertaining was Varun, Ayushmann and Aparshakti shouting out, “Zor se bolo Happy Birthday! Main nai suniya, Happy Birthday!” This post obviously went viral like nobody’s business.

Disha Patani’s teaser for ‘Do You Love Me’ song

One day before dropping the third track from Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Baaghi 3, Disha Patani, Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor teased fans with a still from the song. Another remake of a 2015 song, just like the first two tracks of the film, this one titled ‘Do you love me’ got more backlash than its predecessors. While the first two songs are a remake of Bollywood songs, this one featuring Disha Patani is allegedly a copy of the British producer Troyboi’s 2015 tribute to India with a recreation of an older Lebanese song with the same title. Troyboi seemed to have taken offense to the fact that the picturisation of Baaghi 3’s song was an exact copy of their version’s video. These posts broke the internet as fans kept going back and forth between the two songs.

With the on-going controversy about whether Mr India should be remade and Shekhar Kapur’s claims that he was never informed about the spinoff despite being the director of the iconic Anil Kapoor-Sridevi-starrer, a lot of tweets are being exchanged on Twitter. But what truly had Twitter users in splits was Shekhar Kapoor wondering what would Mogambo say if there was another Mogambo in the world. His tweet with Amrish Puri as the iconic villain was shared by many and it also triggered a hilarious meme fest.

Singham fans woke up to great news right in the beginning of the week. While it was a known fact that Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif had been rigorously shooting for ‘Sooryavanshi’ to finish the final schedule some weeks back, the team of the film finally announced the release date. Posting an update on their respective handles, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Ranveer Singh delighted fans with the news that ‘Sooryavanshi’ will hit the screens on March 24. All of them posted the same video and caption which read: ‘Aa Rahi Hai Police! Sooryavanshi releasing worldwide on 24th March.’

After a lot of talk among Twitterati about Shruti Haasan looking different lately, the actress decided to do an announcement of sorts to go straight into the issue instead of beating around the bush. Posting close-ups of herself on her Instagram account, Shruti wrote a long post about a positive body image and in the note, the actress-singer included her confession that she had indeed gone under the knife. Saying that people should respect every individual for the way they want to lead their lives, Shruti asked all to spread love. This post set the internet on fire as frenzied fans shared this post on social media.

So, this was it for this week. See you next week with more entertaining posts that broke the internet!
