Kareena Kapoor Khan recently completed 20 glorious years in Bollywood and her remarkable contribution is simply unmissable. Apart from entertaining her audience with her brilliant performances, Kareena says that she, along with others, also helped change the story of women in the industry. Talking about the same to a news portal, Kareena reportedly said that reinventing herself and staying detached has served her well so far in her two decades of career. She also added that she, along with the new lot of actors like Kangana Ranaut, Vidya Balan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and others have picked up films that molded different narratives for women. She feels that there was a shift in audience mentality.
Elaborating further, she also added that actors, who are in their 30s, are a lot more relaxed now. According to her, they chase stories before everything else.
Apart from her art of reinvention and detachment, Kareena also reveals that constant guidance and support from her husband Saif Ali Khan has also helped her through this journey. Talking about the same, she reportedly said that as actors they keep on meeting the same people and talk about which film is being made, which brand endorsement you missed, which director you want to meet for the next big role. She feels that this loop gets toxic. For her, reinvention is getting the big picture right and that is achieved by knowing more about the world. She reveals that she had the privilege of taking a step back, travelling, reading, and meeting people who have nothing to do with this world and she owes that to Saif.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena was last seen in the latest released film, ‘Angrezi Medium’ co-starring Irrfan Khan in the lead role. The movie also featured Radhika Madan, Deepak Dobriyal, Pankaj Tripathi, Dimple Kapadia and others. It received positive reviews from the audience and critics alike.
Next, Bebo will be seen in Karan Johar’s magnum opus, ‘Takht’. The movie will also star Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor.
