With his mammoth donation yesterday, Bollywood’s action hero Akshay Kumar proves his philanthropic nature and magnanimity all over again as he pledged to donate Rs 25 crores to PM’s Relief Fund to fight against the novel coronavirus.

The actor also released a video earlier urging people to stay at home and not break the rules tightened by the government in this vulnerable period.

Known for his sensible thoughts, Akshay’s wife Twinkle Khanna posted another new video of the duo today which shows the actor driving the car with a mask on his face as he takes Twinkle to the hospital who is suffering from a fractured foot.

The video shows her foot wrapped in a heavy bandage.  The Twitter video also shows the deserted streets of Mumbai and Twinkle confirming that she is not going to the hospital for coronavirus but for her fractured leg.

Twinkle captioned,  “Deserted roads all the way back from the hospital. Please don’t be alarmed, I am not about to kick the bucket because I really can’t kick anything at all.” A day before, Twinkle also shared a tweet on her feelings about Akshay donating Rs 24 crores to fight the virus.

She tweeted, “The man makes me proud. When I asked him if he was sure as it was such a massive amount and we needed to liquidate funds, he just said, ‘ I had nothing when I started and now that I am in this position, how can I hold back from doing whatever I can for those who have nothing.” However, apart from praises and accolades, her tweet also received backlash for mentioning their good work publicity. One user wrote, “Noble work is always invisible work”. Another user wrote ” Blowing your own triumphant on good work won’t make you good”
