Pills here.

It’s been 10 years since Left 4 Dead 2 was released, and no, your eyes are not deceiving you. Ten! Feel old yet? Despite it being a decade since Ellis, Coach, Nick, and Rochelle carved a path through the zombie hordes–and Valve’s aversion to the number three–Dying Light developer Techland is still carrying the Left 4 Dead torch with an upcoming crossover event.

Dying Light is almost five years old itself, but Techland continues to support the first-person parkour-infused zombie slayer, even with Dying Light 2 on the horizon. After a recent Deadeye’s Promise event, the Polish developer hinted at a Left 4 Dead crossover in a tweet, saying “We don’t want you to be left 4 dead waiting for results!” This, of course, got people talking, and the crossover has now been confirmed.

Techland hasn’t shared any more details beyond this tweet so we’re only left with speculation as to what this zombie crossover might entail. It’s probably safe to assume it will include cosmetics like Left 4 Dead 2 character skins and voice packs as opposed to something more substantial like a new game mode or enemies like The Boomer and The Witch appearing in Dying Light.

Nevertheless, it’s cool that Valve is still acknowledging Left 4 Dead’s existence, even if we’re still waiting on another sequel. Who knows, maybe Valve has something else up its sleeve for the game’s 10-year anniversary in November?

Dying Light 2 is due in Spring 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
