When you are using Facebook’s web-based platform:

1. Open the profile of the friend you want to block.

2. Now click on the three dots next to the Message option.

3. Click on Confirm button to block.

When you are using the Facebook app:

1. Open the profile of the friend you want to block.

2. Now tap on the Friends option right next to the Message option (iPhone users).

3. Tap on the Block option.

Alternatively, you can also un-follow a friend. Un-following a friend means that while you will remain friends on Facebook, you will stop seeing posts from your friend. You can also snooze all the posts from a friend for 30 days.

2. Now click on the Settings option.

5. Tap on the Unblock option next to the name of your friend and you are done.

3. Now scroll down to the Privacy option and tap on Blocking option.
