According to ‘The Athletic’, Barcelona’s new boss, Ronald Koeman, has reportedly asked the board for the signing of Angeliño, the player who belongs to Manchester City and who was on loan at RB Leipzig last season.

RB Leipzig have been, without a doubt, one of the big revelations of the season. Apart from playing a great role in the Bundesliga again, the side owned by the famous energy drink company Red Bull reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Only Mbappé and Neymar’s PSG were able to prevent the side from the east of Germany sneak into a surprising final that would have been the cherry on top of a dream season in which many of their players shone.

Amongst them, the figure of Angeliño has been one of the standouts in an eternal campaign marked by the coronavirus. This special situation, however, hasn’t impaired the performance (18 matches played, starting 17) of a player that has snuck on to the agenda of the big teams in Europe. And, amongst them, is none other than Barcelona.

The arrival of Ronald Koeman to the Barca bench has started a full-blown revolution that will take away some of the players considered indispensable until now, such as Jordi Alba.

The Spanish international full-back seems to be on the club’s blacklist and of the Dutch manager’s, as he has already reportedly communicated to the board that he wants a replacement for the Catalan and that person is called Angeliño.

The 23-year-old player, who belongs to Manchester City (he was on loan at RB Leipzig), is liked a lot by the ex-Netherlands manager, who would want his signing at all costs, according to Sam Lee of ‘The Athletic’.

The information notes that his signing could be around 30 million euros, a figure that would be affordable for the Camp Nou side if the possible sale of Jordi Alba is taken into account who could leave a good sum in the Catalan coffers to thus sign a replacement.
