Since 2014, India has been politically charged as the nation is divided between two extremes. On one hand, we have Narendra Modi and his massive army of supporters. And, on the other, we have Congress and other opposition parties and their supporters.
The nation is so politically charged that even all the artists are also divided. Recently, we have seen the majority of stand up comedians speak against the government of the day and join political parties in opposing the Narendra Modi government on almost every issue.
The latest issue for the troll army, led by stand up comedians, is the upcoming visit of the United States of America, Mr. Donald J Trump. One of the popular stand-up comedians of India, Mr. Atul Khtari took to Twitter and took a dig at the Modi government saying Mughals built India.
“Ironically all the 3 cities Modiji is showing off Trump to – Ahmedabad, Agra, and Delhi – were built by the Mughals,” Atul Khatri wrote on Twitter.
Over the years, we have seen that the BJP has always opposed Mughals and in fact, they have changed names of many places that were built or named by and after the Mughals. Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Atiyanath has been at the forefront of doing this.
Atul Khatri’s tweet generated many responses on Twitter.
But, the best reply came from Krishan who is popularly known as “Atheist Krishna.
“If some goon grabs your house forcefully and renames it, that doesn’t mean the house was built by the goon,” Krishna replied.
