Vijay has scored a super hit last year with the movie Bigil which released during the festive season of Diwali. His next film Master which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj was initially scheduled for release in the month of April or May but it was now obviously postponed due to the lock down.

There is no clarity on when this lock down will be lifted and theaters will opened and normalcy will be restored. However makers are making plans to release their movies in second half of this year in hope that things will be better by then.

Master has Malavika Mohanan in female lead role. She earlier played a crucial role in Rajnikanth’s Petta. Vijay Sethupathi has played crucial role. Now with Summer release out of equation, makers are thinking to release the movie for Diwali now which means Vijay’s next movie will release exactly one year after.

Telugu rights of Master were sold to a whopping Rs. 8.75 Crores. Mahesh S Koneru of East Coast Productions have purchased the rights. He has distributed Bigil Telugu release Whistle as well. Now he is hoping that this movie will turn out to be successful venture too. However we cannot expect simultaneous release for Master as there will be huge competition at the box office regarding movie releases.
