Hardik Pandya’s having a great time on his return to competitive cricket after recovering from back surgery. On Wednesday (March 4), he produced another all-round show to power Reliance 1 to the semi-final of the 16th DY Patil T20 Cup.

Pandya, who smashed his way to a sensational 105 in just 39 balls earlier this week, blasted 29-ball 46 (1 four and 4 sixes) after being promoted to No. 3 position against DY Patil A and bowled a vital spell of 2/39. Thanks to his brilliance with the bat and ball, Reliance 1 emerged victorious by a narrow margin of seven runs.

Anmolpreet Singh (93 off 60 balls) was the top-scorer for Reliance 1 and he shared a brisk opening stand of 101 with veteran India opener Shikhar Dhawan (43 off 28 balls).

In reply, DY Patil A almost pulled off the chase with handy contributions from Shubham Ranjane (43) and Rinku Singh (36) but their effort eventually ended with the score at 198/9.

For Reliance 1, Digvijay Deshmukh was the stand-out bowler, claiming 3 wickets for 25 runs.

Reliance 1 will now face BPCL in the semi-final on Friday (March 6).
