Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film ‘Acharya’ was supposed to be Trisha Krishnan’s comeback vehicle to Telugu cinema after five years. In a surprise turnaround of events, the 36-year-old actress took to social media and officially confirmed that she is backing off from the film owing to creative differences. As soon as her exit news went viral, speculations went rife that the Koratala Siva & Co has apparently met Kajal Aggarwal in Hyderabad and convinced her to be a part of the project.
Due to coronavirus outbreak and the Indian government’s appeal to remain self-quarantine, celebrities all across the country are confined to their houses for the past few days. Making good use of the opportunity, Kajal interacted with her fans on social media and clarified on her upcoming projects. Responding on her next film in Telugu, the 34-year-old actress said, “I am doing Chiranjeevi sir’s film Acharya and I’m looking forward to that.”

The Magadheera actress is hands full with a slew of big films like Indian 2, Mosagallu, Telugu remake of ‘Dancing Queen’ and an untitled project with Dulquer Salmaan directed by Brinda master

Directed by Koratala Siva, the plot of Acharya is said to revolve around a middle-aged Naxalite-turned-social reformer who launches a fight against the Endowments Department over misappropriation of temple funds and donations. While Mani Sharma is roped in to compose the music, Regina Cassandra has recently sizzled for a special number opposite Chiranjeevi.
Grapevine suggests that the last-minute changes to the script and the increase of the guest role which would be reportedly played by either Ram Charan or Mahesh Babu hasn’t gone well with Trisha. Gossip mills also say that she also wasn’t pleased with the addition of a new heroine for the guest hero.
